Kizhanishvili, who spent the second half of last season on loan at the Madejski Stadium, has been told by Blackburn manager Sam Allardyce that he is surplus to requirements at Ewood Park, possibly opening up a permanent return to the Madejski Stadium.

Friday morning’s Sun newpaper reports, under the headline ‘its all Rover for Zurab’, that Allardyce said, ‘He is one to let go for our sake, and his.’

Whilst Brian McDermott has made it clear that he wants the Georgian defender, he was unable to put any funds towards the deal, but with him seemingly being let go then things may change?

There will be no shortage of admirers, especially in the Championship, looking to snap up the former Rangers defender but after his loan spell finished he did say he would love to return. Fingers crossed!
