Royals eye Pitman

Pitman has had a fantastic season with Bournemouth and his goals have helped fire them to promotion, despite not signing a player all season due to a transfer embargo. The secured their place in League One next season after a 2-0 win at Burton on Saturday and Pitman grabbed one of the goals, his 27th of the season.

The 22 year old was spotted playing for a local side in Jersey 6 years ago and has gone onto become a first team regular at Dean Court.

Whilst the Cherries would be keen to keep hold of their star striker, the Sun newspaper reports that we are looking to make a bid to tempt him away from the South Coast and Bournemouth will struggle to resist the money on offer. Their financial worries are of no immediate concern but they would find it hard to keep hold of him if a Championship club came calling, and some decent money would give them the oppurtunity to build a squad capable of competing in a higher division.

Whenever I have seen Pitman he has always looked decent and it would be good to see us take a chance on someone who has done a job in the lower leagues.

Expect this to be the first of many transfer rumours over the summer though!

He looks like a cross between Darren Caskey and John Oster! Good player though

He’s actually rubbish.Lazy, selfish, and entirely reliant on Steve Fletcher to set the opportunities up.

He’s also very slow and wasteful. Apparently he missed a load of chances on Saturday

Heard good AND abd things about Brett. Appears to score goals for fun so clearly knows where the net is but plenty of reports that is workrate is shoddy and drifts in and out of games too easily. I’d be surprised if he left for anything less than £800k
