Reading have been linked with Newcastle midfielder Dan Gosling on loan.
The People have quoted that Nigel Adkins is very interested in bringing the former England under 21 international to the Madejski Stadium. After the failure to add during the transfer window, the Royals are now set to use the loan system instead.
Gosling, who primarily plays in centre midfield, is yet to make an appearance in the Premier League for the magpies this season. He has never really been a first team regular for any side, so could make the move down to the second tier to end this trend.
I take it that Gosling is the back up, if the Sissoko move doesn’t go through, which is looking the likely outcome at the moment. Gosling’s lack of experience does worry me, but Newcastle and Everton obviously saw something in him.
