Reading have snapped up highly-rated Hull youth player Harry Caldwell for just £75,000.

According to Hull Daily Mail, the 16-year old turned down the recently-promoted side in favour of a move to Berkshire. This follows the recent acquisition of Grimsby youth player Lewis Collins, who joined on an apprenticeship contract and will be offered a professional deal in two years time.

It will be a similar contract to the centre forward, who was impressive in Hull’s FA youth cup run last season. The Elite Player Performance Plan has very much helped the move go through, as Hull only have Category Three status, while we are vying for Category One status.
