Play off heartbreak for Bell Baggie

Youngster Bell Baggie has been on loan with the Millers since March and has been a regular off the bench for the League Two promotion hopefuls. He was again on the bench at Wembley on Sunday afternoon as they took on Dagenham & Redbridge in the play off final.

It was arguably the best of the three play off finals but unfortunatly for Bell Baggie he ended up on the losing side. The Daggers took the lead twice, only for Rotherham to hit back almost immediatly but they could not respond to the killer goal from John Nurse in the second half.

Bell Baggie came off the bench late in the game on the right hand side of midfield but hardly touched the ball and couldn’t inspire a late equaliser.

He is still young though, and could well find himself back on loan with the Millers next season as he is not ready for the Royals first team after starting this season in the youth team.

If we are looking for players to make an impact in our first team next season though, there could be a gem in the Dagenham side in the form of Danny Green. The midfielder has scored 14 goals this season, including one in the play off final, and looks a terrific player and we could surely pick him up on the cheap.
