New signing Joseph Mills has said that the whole squad are determined to get rid of their baron run of four straight losses, by winning against Watford next Saturday.

The left sided player has made two substitute appearances for the Royals but hopes to get third time lucky by getting a starting place next Saturday, with manager Brian McDermott bound to make changes to the team.

Speaking to the Reading Chronicle, Joe said: ‘There are still a lot of games to go, we know the situation we’re in and we need to get out of it as quickly as possible.’

The defeat to Hull was their fourth in a row, which has also seen Reading score only 2 goals in these 4 games, which could spark the introduction of other new signing Adam Le Fondre.

‘Le Fondre’s record also speaks for itself and I think it shows the ambition of the club. But at the same time they both come into what is a strong squad and they’ll have to fight for their places.’

Mills also stated how the break did help the Royals mentally prepare for the game. ‘We’ve got the break now so everyone can get ready and go again against Watford at home. Hopefully we can turn it around and start picking up the points.’
