Reading and England under-21 striker, Leroy Lita, has been arrested on suspicion of GBH after an incident that occurred in Bristol in the small hours of Sunday.

A Police spokeswoman from the area said: “A 21-year-old man from Reading voluntarily attended Trinity Road Police Station in Bristol at 8.30am today, where he was arrested on suspicion of GBH.

‘His arrest follows the alleged assault of a 24-year-old man from Westbury-on-Trym, Bristol, in the early hours of Sunday morning in the Haymarket.”

Although there is a lot of confusion and hearsay flying around the story, it is understood that the Reading striker allegedly head-butted a man while on a night out in the city of his former club. The alleged attack has left his supposed victim with a black eye.
Details are limited on the story, although it is thought the 1million pound signing will be released on bail at some point today.

Lita has started two league games for Reading so far this season, and scored the crucial goal that won the Royals their first ever Premiership game against Middlesborough earlier this month.
