A round up of all Reading players representing their respective countries around the globe……

Central defender Alex Pearce had a dream debut for the Republic of Ireland last night, as he scored in the 85th minute in their 4-1 victory over Oman at Craven Cottage. The Royals academy graduate was a half-time substitute for Giovanni Trapattoni’s side and becomes another member of Reading’s strong Irish contingent.

However, it was an evening to forget for Reading’s Welsh players. Both Simon Church and Chris Gunter started for Chris Coleman’s side in their World Cup Qualifier, but they were rampaged 6-1 by Serbia in Novi Sad. Winger Hal Robson-Kanu was an unused substitute for the game.

Latvia captain Kaspars Gorkss managed to get on the scoresheet for his national side, but they eventually went onto lose 4-1 to Bosnia. Fellow defender Adrian Mariappa once again started for Jamaica as they faced USA last night, but lost 1-0 to the American’s in their World Cup Qualifier.
