Amidst the celebration of Manchester United’s win at the Madejski Stadium, United boss Sir Alex Ferguson was caught making an obscene gesture in the direction of Royals coach Wally Downes.
While any Reading player or member of the coaching staff would be heavily reprimanded should they have behaved in the same way, it seems Fergie believes he is above the law.
He said, ‘All I was doing was expressing my relief at winning what was one of our hardest matches of the season, Reading always make it tough for us.
‘We ran so much that we clocked up more kilometres than we have in any game this season.’
According to Fergie, it is perfectly acceptable to swear at the opposition coaching staff, because they made the game hard for United.
Sorry Alex, maybe if Reading don’t try as hard next time the two sides meet you’ll shake Wally Downes’ hand.
It remains to be seen if the Manchester United boss will be punished for his actions, one things for sure, had it been the other way around I don’t think Sir Alex would have taken it as well as Wally.

Fergie should be stripped of his knighthood imo lol. Showed little respect for one of the supposed “little” teams. I thought it was pretty funny though actually, he is just a passionate *****er. I was more irate when Rooney punched our flag saying “**** that *****!”.
It says a lot about the way we played to be fair, the fact that rooney and fergie couldnt contain themselves when they finally broke us down. Bring on the chelsea, might be a bit harder to reduce avram grant to swearing! Maybe if someone tells him he looks like baron greenback…
Yes always your fault & never theirs. You should lie down & die, let them thrash you out of sight, eat all the humble pie going & say thank you too. You are not allowed to resist. They are the big boys & you are not. Always remember that. Then again, fck ’em all.
I thought it was hilarious…you’ll be back in the Championship soon. Should have concentrated on the FA Cup!!!!
just have a laugh and get over it
