Young Reading goalkeeper Jonathan Henly has extended his contract at the Championship club.

According to Sky Sports, the 19-year old has extended his current contract by another two years. Henly has graduated through the Royals’ ever-improving academy, but is yet to make a first team appearance for the Championship side.

I imagine that Henly’s short-term future will depend on Stuart Taylor’s contract negotiations. If Taylor agrees a new deal, I imagine that we will try and send Henly out on loan, but if not, he will provide cover for Adam Federici and Alex McCarthy.
