Reading striker Brett Williams has revealed he is out to make an impression at his former club Eastleigh on saturday, as the Royals travel to the Silverlake stadium for their first pre-season friendly.

The former Winchester city man signed in January for £50,000 along side Sean Morrison, who has branded Williams a natural finisher.

He told the Reading evening post: “He`s a brilliant player, he`s a natural finisher and you can see that in training.’

The 23-year old is keen to prove a point in pre-season after he is yet to make an appearance for the Royals but did make the bench for the home game against Millwall.

On returning to his former club, the former taxi driver told the official RFC website: ‘It is always good to go back and show your face as well as showing the fans how you are getting on.’

The game at the Silverlake stadium will take place this saturday, 9th July 3.00 pm KO. The Reading squad will then travel to Slovenia for 10 days to play two friendly games.
