Reading have confirmed that they have accepted an offer from Championship side Leicester, with the offer believed to be around the £5m mark.

Leicester are keen to add to the squad that has already seen Lee Peltier, Kasper Schmeichel and Dave Nugent move to the newly renamed King Power Stadium.

The former Doncaster man is believed to be keen to speak to Leicester, who are prepared to offer Mills a bumper contract.

Many other teams have shown an interest in Mills, most notably Wolves and Stoke, who both had offers rejected for the Royals captain.

If this move goes ahead, this could dissapoint many Royals’ fans considering it is seen as a sideways move and would disprove his loyalty to the club, following Brian McDermott’s faith he showed in him by making him captain of the club.
