Waitrose to continue as Royals sponsor

Reading Football Club have announced that Waitrose will continue to be our sponsor for another two seasons.

The supermarket chain started their sponsorship of the Berkshire club back in the 2008/09 season, after Kyocera chose to renew their sponsorship deal following relegation from the Premier League that year. The current deal with Waitrose will run until the 2014/15 season.

The club have announced that there will also be special offers for season ticket holders, just a shame that I shop in Asda! We haven’t received as much stick as I thought we would considering we are sponsored by Waitrose, I suppose it is always going to be better than when Oxford were sponsored by ‘Wang’.
