It wasn’t the greatest of starts for Reading under new manager Brendan Rodgers but with a number of young players replacing some senior pro’s it was to be expected.

It was a very close vote for Vital Reading’s first player of the month award of the season and Australian goalkeeper Adam Federici just pipped young Icelandic midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson to win.

Federici of course made one howler no goalkeeper wants to experience against Sheff Utd but just days before that he single handedly earnt us a point away at Swansea when he made two world class saves and also saved a penalty in the 0-0 draw.

He has shown in August that he has what it takes to be the Royals number 1 for years to come.

We are now asking you to vote on the best bit of business we did on transfer deadline day.
