Alex Pearce’s red card has been overturned by the FA, but Royals fans were still mainly split on the decision.
Yes – he got the wrong side and tripped him 44%
No – the player made a meal of it 56%
Obviously a small majority agreed with the FA’s decision to rescind the red card, but I’m surprised how many fans thought he deserved. Yes, it was poor defending, but from the replays you could argue that Gorkss was covering and Afobe went down very easily.
Either way, it means that Pearce is now available for the game against QPR on Sunday. However, it appears fans aren’t exactly more confident with Pearcey in the side after his disaster on Saturday, but he is the sort of character who will come back stronger.
