The under 21s began their defence of the Premier League under 21 cup in style, beating QPR comfortably 3-0.

Martin Kuhl’s young Royals side won the first trophy in May and don’t seem content on giving it up too soon, as they beat their counter parts well at Adams Park. Aaron Tshibola started after a long-term injury and set up the opener, which was finished by forward Dominic Samuel.

The lead was doubled into the second half, as winger Tariqe Fosu dispatched a free-kick in style from the edge of the area. The victory was rounded off with substitute Andrija Novakovich winning and scoring a penalty late on – the American forward is making big strides.

A good and well-deserved win for the youngsters, who progress into the second round of the cup. It was also good to see Aaron Kuhl complete ninety minutes on his return from injury, with the same applying to Tshibola – the latter seems to be closing in on the first team.
