Matej Vydra scored his first Reading goal today to help The Royals draw with table toppers Brighton.

Steve Clarke’s side showed great character to come from behind against a resilient Brighton side.

After a draw with Rotherham and a defeat at Fulham, the players confidence would have been as low as they’ve been this season. However, Reading fought back and probably should’ve won the game.

Although on paper you’d take a draw with top of the league, I feel it’ll only be seen as a good point if we grab all three at home to Huddersfield.

We must have big aspirations of getting promoted with the squad we have and this means we can’t afford to fall too far behind in the early stages of the season.

If the Royals do fail to win on Tuesday, it’ll be four without and win and we could be 10 points away from Brighton at the top.

I wouldn’t call it a must win but it will be seen as another poor week if we do fail to beat strugglers Huddersfield on Tuesday.
