As we look forward to tomorrow’s encounter with Yeovil Town, Vital Reading caught up with Yeovil season ticket holder Tom Parker @TomParker_19 ahead of the clash at Huish Park. Tom answers questions on how he think the Glovers will get on this season, their danger man for the game and a prediction for the match.

1. Are you concerned you have only scored one goal in the league so far?

Not at the moment really, I’m fairly happy with our performances so far where we’re creating chances and generally playing well. I think Madden and Williams will come good along with Hayter who already has experience of playing at this level. I’m probably more concerned about the way we’ve conceded goals so far this season which have been very soft goals to concede in m opinion.

2. Is the main aim to survive relegation this season and do you think you can do it?

That is definitely the aim but this question has been asked so many times in recent years at league 1 level and we’ve continually proved the doubters wrong every year. I can’t see why we can’t do it again, I have full faith in the current squad and management team to keep us in the league. Even if we’re not successful I’ll still remember the pure ecstasy of winning at Wembley. Defeat at Wembley would have been harder to bare for me.

3. Who are the key players to look out for?

Paddy Madden would be an obvious choice. He hasn’t shown his true colours just yet but I think he’ll develop into a good player at this level with potential to go even higher. He should be even more confident now he’s involved with the Ireland national team. Kevin Dawson and Ed Upson are also good players capable of making an impression in games who both work really hard for the team.

4. Gary Johnson has really worked miracles at Yeovil hasn`t he?

Miracles is an understatement! The transformation the club has gone through since he first joined the club has been fantastic. I honestly never imagined us getting into the Championship but look where we are now, Gary has that winning mentality which has certainly rubbed off on the players. The change of the mentality since taking over from Skiverton was what the club really needed after a torrid run of form. He really is is a true legend for what he’s achieved with such a small club with a restricted budget!

5. What are you still expecting from Yeovil in the final week of the transfer market?

I’m not really expecting anymore players coming in unless we we have yet another injury to our goalkeeper! I would imagine that Gary is finished with his transfer dealings this summer.

6. If you could take any Reading player at the moment, who would it be and why?

Adam Le Fondre. So we can start scoring some goals. Can we have him for a month?

7. What starting XI and shape do you expect to see this Saturday?

After the horror that unfolded from our 4-5-1 formation I will expect us to revert back to our usual 4-4-2 with Hennessey, Ayling, Webster, Tate, Seabourne, Dawson, Upson, Edwards, Davis, Madden, Williams

8. What is your prediction for the game?

I’ll go for a 1-1 draw. A tough ask!
