Vital Reading looks at team news ahead of our game with Sheffield Wednesday at the Madejski Stadium tomorrow.

Adkins revealed recently that both the central midfield duo of Hope Akpan and Danny Guthrie are fit. Akpan was brought off against Millwall with a shin problem, while Guthrie has missed the previous five games due to injury, but has had a full week of training.

Defenders Sean Morrison and Wayne Bridge could return to full training next week, but won’t be considered for this one. Out-of-contract midfielder Chris Baird is still recovering from an ankle injury, while Jem Karacan, Mikele Leigertwood and Jason Roberts are all long-term absentees.

Stuart Gray has quite a nice and short injury list, with towering defender Anthony Gardner out, as is fellow defender Rafael Floro. The duo of Giles Coke and Jermaine Johnson are both serving suspensions, following red cards against Millwall & Barnsley.

Former Reading winger Michail Antonio will be given a late fitness test, after recovering from injury. Wednesday no longer have Matty Fryatt or Connor Wickham, but hope to sign Wickham back on loan today. If the deal is agreed early, then he could be available for selection.
