It seems the takeover is set to be ratified by the Football League this week, and therefore fully completed.

Everything has been in place for the Thai consortium to takeover the Royals, with the club confirming the partership, but needed the Football League to do their relevant testing. There has been a crucial update in the saga though, according to Sky Sports journalist, Amy Lewis.

There has been a notable delay in ratifying the deal, but the Football League have said these processes do take time to make sure the right people are in charge of a football club. You can’t argue with that, as they can’t make the same mistakes as before, i.e, Anton Zingarevich.

If you look at the signings we made this summer, it is obvious the Thai’s have already invested money in the club. We may have got good money for both Morrison and McCarthy, but I’m sure Adkins will be allowed to use a good sum of that in the January transfer window, if necessary.
