Jay Tabb was told he was not going to be offered a new deal at Reading a few months ago, but has still not agreed a permanent deal elsewhere.
The 29-year old joined Ipswich Town on loan back in March and it was a successful tenure for Tabby, who even managed to score – something he couldn’t do for us in over 100 games! He has been offered a deal by the Championship side according to TWTD.co.uk, but a few minor details need to be sorted to confirm the deal.
It’s a shame to see Tabby leave, but he is probably at a stage in his career where he wants to start games week in-week out, which we couldn’t guarantee him. There was also talk that Birmingham were interested, but Jay will probably complete his move to Ipswich in the next few weeks.
