Swans agree to play Royals in final friendly

Our play-off final rivals from three years ago, Swansea, will visit the Madejski Stadium next month, in our final friendly.

The match will take place in Berkshire on Saturday 27th July, kicking off at 3 pm, a week before the seasons start on Saturday 3rd August. When both sides came toe to toe in the 2012/13 campaign, they could not be separated, with the points being shared in both fixtures.

The game with Michael Laudrup’s side is likely to be our last ‘showpiece’ friendly, before the league campaign’s start. The Royals have already agreed to play Wycombe Wanderers at Adams Park on Saturday 13th July, while a pre-season tour is yet to be confirmed, but is rumoured to be in Croatia.
