Reading have taken former Manchester City goalkeeper Stuart Taylor on trial, according to Sky Sports
The 31-year old was released by the Premier League champions in June, after failing to make a first team appearance in his three-year tenure at the Etihad Stadium. Taylor is currently in training with the Royals squad, as he aims to win a contract with Brian McDermott’s newly-promoted side.
Taylor would provide suitable back-up for Adam Federici, with young goalkeepers Alex McCarthy and Mikkel Andersen likely to be loaned out to Championship sides during the summer window. The former England U21 international has had a career plagued by injury and has found himself as second-choice on many occasions.
