Reading striker Brett Williams is currently on trial at Scottish side St Johnstone.

The former Eastleigh forward has been awarded this trial by St Johnstone manager Steve Lomas, who is keen to add recruits to his squad to cope with the Europa League campaign, as well as the domestic League season. Lomas said that Williams will be appearing in two friendlies in the next week for the Scottish side.

Williams, 24, since joining in January 2011, is yet to make an appearance for the Royals in cup or league competitions. The former Southampton target had two loan spells in League Two last season with Rotherham and Northampton Town, making 29 appearances in total and scoring five goals.
