Royals pre-season tour confirmed

Reading FC have confirmed that they will be touring Portugal for their annual pre-season tour.

The exact location in Portugal is Silves, Algrave. Brian McDermott and a selection of his squad will be in Portugal for 11 days, from the 18th July to 28th July. They will play three games during that time but their opponents or definite dates are yet to be confirmed.

The Barclays Premier League season will begin on Saturday 18th August, three weeks after the Royals return for their pre-season tour. Two more friendlies are likely to commence during that period but will be announced in due course. A Reading XI side will also take on Conference side Salisbury on the 28th July.
