Reading have given a trial to young Indian star Brandon Fernandes, according to the Times of India.
The 18-year old, who is managed by a UK-based company, was on a flight to England today and hopes to complete his medical tomorrow, before embarking on his two-week trial. Fernandes is the only Indian footballer to play for all age-group teams in India and he says he is primarily ‘an attacking midfielder with an eye for goal.’
Many speculated during the the week which club he would be going to, but representatives remained tight lipped until now. An unnamed source, reportedly close to Brandon, told the Indian newspaper that: ‘Brandon is due to train at Reading FC for two weeks once he passes the medical test on Wednesday. Brandon is looking forward to the test.’

It will be great to see a Goan playing in the Premier League. Lets keep fingers crossed. Goans (i am Goan too) are soccer crazy, the Goan community in the UK are going to be really enthused.
That’s great to see the Goan community have a passion for football! Hopefully this trial will convince more to get involved in football in Goan and achieve their dream.
