Royals gain Category One EPPP status

It has been a long time coming, but Reading are now on par with some of the top clubs in the country, having earned Category One EPPP status.

Category One is the highest status you can achieve and means that our academy is officially amongst the very best in the country, with a limited number of clubs sharing the same tag. Our youth development will now take a further step forward in its progression.

The standards of facilities, coaching, among other aspects, will be improved to an outstanding level, which will attract young players from all over the country. Our academy will face off with fellow Category One academies, meaning a superb challenge and opportunities to improve, by playing the best sides in the country.

A number of people have worked extremely hard to achieve this status and deserve immense praise. Obvious gratitude should go to owner Anton Zingarevich for moving this club forward in the past year and it can only continue to grow in the right direction. Well done to Anton!
