Royals defender close to loan move

Reading defender Kaspars Gorkss is close to completing a loan move to Wolves, according to the Express & Star.

The 31-year old has not played for the Royals since their 3-2 defeat to Wigan back in late November, with Brian McDermott willing to loan the defender out. Sources close to Wolves claim they are very close to finalising the deal, but fellow Championship side Blackburn Rovers are also keen on signing the Latvian captain.

Gorkss has a fantastic record at Championship level, winning promotion to the Premier League with QPR and Reading. I’m sure that Gorkss would be a great acquisition for both of those sides, its just a shame it hasn’t worked out in the Prem for him. If we were to go down, I’m sure he would still have a future here.
