Royals are Champions!

Many people may say that the Reading first team have been playing like women this season, but that would be an insult to women, as the Royals Ladies have proved.

The Reading FC women’s team were crowned champions of the South West Combination and have earned themselves a second successive promotion.

The ladies showed the men how it’s done by beating Plymouth 3-1 at home on Sunday, ensuring they can’t be caught by their promotion rivals.

With Steve Coppell’s side failing to find the net in five games, the Royals manager could well turn to the ladies team in search of inspiration, with Laura Woodley, Rachel Fell and Kayleigh Hines all being tipped to start at home to Tottenham on Saturday.

thats an insult guys! you’ve got what it takes to stay up and we’re hoping for another thriller against you at the weekend

I hope it will be another thriller but this time we end up with the most goals. The season doesn’t hinge on this game but would be good going to Derby with a win under our belts! Good luck Dave!

I’m sure if the womens team looked like the lovely ladies in that picture it would be a little more popular! lol. How much would you like for my old mate Kitson? Used to see him at Cambridge and wouldn’t mind him playing in white at the Cottage in the premiership next season! I would like it if you guys stay up and Bolton and Brum to go down. So good luck for your next two games.

Maybe some of the ladies can come and play for your first team.

I believe Stephen Hunt was a product of the women’s team, or at least his hair was anyway…
