Reading striker Jason Roberts has spoken about his early time at Reading and how he has settled in with the Championship club.

The 34-year old joined from Blackburn Rovers in January for an undisclosed fee on a one-and-a-half year deal. He has made fantastic progress in his early games with the Royals, scoring three goals and setting up many more.

Speaking to the Reading FC media, he stated: ‘There’s a really good team spirit around the place and a good feeling around the club at the moment. We’re playing really well, grinding out results, and if we can show the same application until the end of the season we could be successful this season.’

‘Making your debut, you want to make a good impression and although it wasn’t the best goal I’ve ever scored, to score on my debut, it’s always a good thing. And from then on, the team has just been fantastic. I’d like to take credit for all of the clean sheets and the fantastic performances but I can’t. It’s just been really good to be part of it.’
