The Royals 2nd sring produced a fine display in a behind closed doors friendly against Charlton at Hogwood this afternoon.
Brynjar Gunnarsson and Glen Little both played 90 minutes, Jimmy Kebe was on the score sheet twice while James Henry picked up a hat trick. The sixth was scored by substitute Scott Golbourne.
Boss Brian McDermott told the Reading Website ‘It was very good for us today, we had a few lads that needed a game, Bryn got 90 as did Glen and Kebe’
‘We got a bit loose at the end and conceded a couple but we played some good football’
More encouraging for the Royals is that they found six goals.
The team included:
Federici
Murty (Golbourne 70)
De La Cruz
Duberry
Sonko
Fae
Gunnarsson
Little
Convey (Hateley 60)
Henry
Kebe
It was a strong team to play a closed doors game and I can only assume it was to provide Coppell with more options for the remaining games.

Is Coppell thinking of making some changes for the Arsenal trip? Who knows but a positive performance on Saturday would fill me with a little confidence for the remaining games.
If he makes any changes it’ll prob just be long for kitson. Altho I think convey shud play, dunno why he only played 60, maybe an injury or resting him for sat, who knows…
Do you reckon federici looks like Hydey?
Ha only just noticed butyour right! A dead ringer!
