Image for Reading Vs Derby

Reading take on Derby full of confidence after a wonderful 5-1 victory just 4 days ago. This is a big game for both sides as they will both be hoping reach the play offs come the end of the season.

Predicted Line-ups

Reading- 442; Bond; Gunter Mcshane Ferdinand Obita; Blackman Norwood Tshibola Quinn; Vydra Sa

Derby- 433; Grant; Christie Keogh Shackell Forsyth; Butterfield Hanson Johnson; Ince Martin Russell.

Reading Team News:

Reading have a full strength side with only U21s player Samuel, Cooper and Keown injured. Williams will be hoping to start after dropping to the bench due to being tired after international duty. Ola John, Piazon and Hurtado will all be hoping to start their first game in a Reading shirt, although Clarke is likely to name an unchanged side.

Player to watch: Nick Blackman

Blackman is a man on fire. Nick is on fine form, having scored 5 goals and making 5 assists in the opening month and abit of the season. He will be used in a right forward position and will look to provide Vydra and Sa with as much support as possible. This trio could really cause Derby’s defence some problems.

Derby Team News:

Paul Clement will be without midfield trio Will Hughes, Chris Baird, Craig Bryson through injury. Derby are likely to make one change, bringing in Jamie Hanson for the injured Chris Baird after their win at Preston

Player to watch: Chris Martin

Bond, Ferdinand and McShane will have their toughest tests of the season tonight, Especially with Chris Martin to play against. Martin is a man on form and is certainly difficult to deal with. A big night for these three Royals.

Did You Know?

Both the fixtures between these two sides finished 3-0 to the away side last season. Lets not hope for a repeat tonight.

Match Prediction:

After Readings 5-1 home win on Friday, there is rather a lot of expectation around the Mad Stad now. With forwards Sa, Blackman and Vydra all looking lively, I’m feeling a 3-1 home win. Derby have started the season slowly but won their first game on Saturday and they’ll look to build on this.
