Reading take on the league leaders off the back of two disappointing results on the road. It’s the first time The Royals will have to show pure resilience and fight against an unbeaten Brighton side.

The away side may be unbeaten, but they come in to this one after a 0-0 home draw to struggling Preston.

An intriguing encounter that could go either way and show us what both teams are made of.

Predicted Line-ups

Reading- Al-Habsi; Gunter, McShane, Ferdinand, Obita; Norwood, Williams; Blackman, Vydra, John; Sa

Brighton- Stockdale; Bruno, Hunemeier, Dunk; Rosenior; March, Croft, Ince, Murphy; Hemed, Baldock.

Reading Team News:

Reading have a few long term injury concerns heading into this one with Quinn, Tshibola and Robson-Kanu all out. Anton Ferdinand will be knocking on the door after a collapse from the Reading defence at Fulham. Piazon is likely to miss out due to being wanted by Canadian Police for sexual assault. Hurtado, John and Mccleary will all be looking to start.

Player to watch: Paul McShane

This is a massive afternoon for the Reading captain. After the Fulham debacle, the Reading fans will be looking for a response, especially from the defence. McShane will be responsible for organizing them and staying as solid as possible.

Brighton Team News:

The league leaders will be without two of their influential players with Bong and Stephens out injured. This could mean rosenior may have to swap sides and play at left back. Bobby Zamora will be looking to start after scoring a couple from the bench.

Player to watch: Bobby Zamora

Zamora has scored two crucial goals for Brighton off the bench and will be looking to do the same again on Saturday. He is proving to be a super sub for the table toppers.

Did You Know?

Brighton are the only unbeaten team in the football league. Can Reading change this?

Match Prediction:

This is such a tough one to call. Both teams have the potential to play some lovely stuff, but I feel it’ll be a cagey and tight encounter. 1-1.
