Reading looking at Morgan

Reading have reportedly made an enquiry for Nottingham Forest defender Wes Morgan in an attempt to solve their centre back worries.

Sky Sports have reported that Brian McDermott is interested in the big central defender, who is in the final year of his contract and is yet to agree a new one.

Reading boss McDermott would see him as an ideal addition considering the loss of Matt Mills and former defender Ibrahima Sonko’s rejected the clubs offer of a contract.

Morgan has been at Forest for the past 9 years but could be set to end his tenure if the Royals agree a fee.

The 27-year old has been a key figure in the Forest defence in the past few seasons, managing to get into the PFA Team of the Season last year.

Calm down guys. Not going to happen unless Forest get someone better. Big Wes was part of the 3rd best defence in the league last season – why would Forest want to alter that?

Morgan going nowhere to reiterate Hus=ky Red and martyn_hucknall. Also if you’re going to run rumours like this at least use a picture of Morgan himself not Robbie Findley – DOH!!!

Erm, that IS Morgan Moose lol.

Got to admire Reading’s optimism, first Chambo, now Big Wes…

We fail in the playoffs and keep our stars, you fail and sell yours. That about says it all really.

For one, on the pictures on Vital Forest it said it was Morgan and for two, there is a reason you can’t sell your key players, because you have none! Long was too good for this league but none of your players are good enough for the Premier League, that is why!
