Reading are going to face stiff competition if they want to sign Nathan Redmond, after being linked with the winger yesterday.

The 19-year old is being chased by a host of Premier League clubs, including Everton, West Brom, Norwich, Fulham and Swansea, according to the Daily Mail. They believe some sides have submitted a £2 million bid for Redmond and Reading could be tempted to try their luck.

Redmond has been away with the England under 21s, but was one the better players in an awful tournament for the young three lions. I remember him being unplayable against us at the end of the 2011/12 campaign, probably denying Matthew Connolly any chance of a permanent deal!

However, I’d be very surprised if we did bring another winger in, having brought Derenthe in. There is a chance that Jimmy or HRK could leave over the summer, but I would expect both to stay, along with having McCleary, McAnuff and Obita.
