Reading are still tracking Blackpool starlet Matt Phillips, according to The Sun.

The 21-year old was previously linked with the Royals back in April, a rumour which Seasiders boss Ian Holloway soon rubbished. However, after Blackpool failed to gain promotion back to the Premier League after their play-off final defeat to West Ham, interest in Phillips could increase. Cardiff and Fulham are two other sides reportedly keen on Phillips.

The Sun have reported a £2.5 million figure could snatch him away from the Tangerines, but Ian Holloway is likely to want more for the promising winger. Phillips, who began his career at Wycombe, signed for Blackpool in August 2010 for around £350,000. The England U21 international then moved to Sheffield United on loan, scoring six goals in as many games, before establishing a first team place at Bloomfield Road.
