Reading FC have confirmed today that as of next season, Italian based company Macron will become the supplier for the kits and training wear of the club.
The three year deal with the company based in Bologna means that the sports apparel company will be making the kits and training wear for the first team, women’s team and academy.
The 2021-2022 season is the last season involved in the current deal, which will be the 150th anniversary of Reading Football Club, as well as the 50th anniversary of Macron, so one would imagine that a special kit will be made to mark both occasions.
Macron have built up quite the reputation for themselves over the past few years, as a number of clubs such as Lazio and Sporting Lisbon to name but two have partnered with the Italian company to manufacture the clubs kits for them.
One stat that amused me in the official club announcement is that Macron are now 3rd in the UEFA technical sponsorship rankings. At least they are sitting pretty in a table…
