Poll result: Fans mainly split on Hunt

Vital Reading asked Royals fans whether they would have kept Hunt for another year, in this week’s weekly poll and here are the results.

A slight majority obviously did not feel that Hunt would have offered much to the team this season, while others felt he could have had a role to play. Noel, who is now at Leeds United with Brian McDermott, was reportedly offered a one-year deal, but turned it down.

He doesn’t have the greatest goal ratio at Championship level, but in the past few seasons, Hunt hasn’t had a consistent run in the team. I could have only seen him being a rotation option again, so moving away was probably the best for Hunty in the final years of his career.
