The heart of the topic this week is who fans want as their centre-back partnership for the upcoming season, now Pearce is back on the scene. Mariappa and Morrison were the established partnership under Adkins, but should Pearce go straight back into the side?

Adkins only selected Pearce for one game, before being dropped, but was mainly due to his refusal to sign a contract. It is clear that Mapps and Morro are more well-adapted to his style of play, but will Pearce’s leadership and defensive qualities give him the edge?
