The new potential new owner of Reading FC, Anton Zingarevich, has reportedly said that he wants to make the club ‘a profound outfit’ in the years to come, according to Russian website rt.com.

Thames Sports Investments have agreed to take a 51% share in Reading Football Club for £40m, replacing Sir John Madejski as the owner of the club, despite the 70-year old remaining Chairman until 2014.

The website have also claimed that Zingarevich is a Zenit St.Petersburg supporter and if they were to meet the Royals in a European game he said: ‘You won`t confuse me. If the clubs meet each other then the TSI investors have made a good choice supporting my business plan.’

TSI are set to complete the deal in March, but are still providing funds for Brian McDermott to strengthen in this current window. Zingarevich’s English representative will be meeting the media later today, with quotes from that conference available on Vital Reading tomorrow.
