Nathan Tyson to return?

Tyson is not the first name you would think of when you see a headline ‘Reading old boy to return’, to be fair you would probably be having nightmares that we had signed Glen Little again, again!

However the latest summer rumour is that we are set to bid £500,000 for Nathan Tyson, who has spent the last few years at Nottingham Forest.

We sold Tyson back in 2004 to Wycombe Wanderers where he scored 39 goals in 68 games before earning himself a move to the City Ground. Despite numerous injury problems, including hobbling off at the Madejski Stadium last season, he has managed 29 goals in his 113 Forest appearances despite playing a lot of those outwide.

At first though I dismissed this story as simply lazy journalism on The Sun newspapers part, however Brendan Rodgers would have worked with Tyson in his early years at the Madejski Stadium and he would fit into the new dynamic style of football that appears to be Rodgers style, and would be happy anywhere along the front line.

Would you be happy with Nathan Tyson returning the the Madejski Stadium? DISCUSS ON THE FORUM

Can’t see him leaving Forest…especially given Billy Davies’s comments!
