Huddersfield’s Oliver Norwood is set to be the newest addition to the Royals squad, after a deal has been agreed with the Terriers for the midfield.

We are set to play the Yorkshire this evening, but Norwood will not be a part of the squad to play the Royals, as he looks to finalise his move down south. The fee agreed for the former Manchester United midfielder is unknown, but in the media, is believed to be just over £1 million.

Charles Watts essentially confirmed the rumours validity and that a deal could be done soon, so he can play against Forest this Saturday. Norwood has scored 8 goals in 79 appearances for Huddersfield, as well as representing Northern Ireland at international level.

There have been mixed reviews about him from Huddersfield fans, but we will hopefully gain an insight from our friends over at Vital Huddersfield. Adkins has been searching for a CM for a while now, so I imagine our interest in Dean Hammond is now over.

Far too inconsistent, has great ability and an excellent striker of the ball, also has good vision with passing. But probably plays an excellent game in 1 in 3. Too many school boy errors. Good luck to him though. With Butterfield, Coady and Majewski I am not unhappy if norwood leaves

Overated, goes missing, weak in the tackle, never wins second ball. Great when we are 3 nil up otherwise you don’t know hes playing. If we get 1.5 mill for him its great business. We need battlers who show some strength and passion. Bye bye, wont be missed

It seems he is very much dividing opinion between your fans at the moment – both sides saying similar things.
