Nigel Adkins is confident that all the ownership issues will be resolved very soon, after he met all of the investors himself.

All four of the Thai investors had their interview with the Football League last week, meaning a result should come this week. It seems more than likely they will the pass the required tests, but Adkins has said not to expect us to go mad in the transfer market.

Speaking to the Official Reading FC website about the ownership situation, Adkins revealed: ‘Everything’s looking positive, I’ve met everyone involved. All being well, we’ve got stability and a long term plan. We’re not just going to throw money at it.’

‘It would be wrong to think that will happen. The club’s future is the most important thing. The long term picture of the football club is moving in the right direction, continuing the good work that’s gone on over the years at the football club.’

Nigel is coming out with similar vibes to Madejski – keep our feet on the floor and not to get too excited, as we aren’t going to be throwing money at players this time. Adkins seems motivated and dedicated to the long-term plan from the owners, which is good news.
