Reading have been told that if they want to land the services of Coventry striker Gary McSheffrey then they will have to dig deep.
Nothing has been said about signing the 15 goal striker of course, it?s just pure speculation that links the Royals with the Coventry marksman.
But just in case, Sky Blues manager Micky Adams made his feelings known about the situation.
‘I know Steve Coppell very well and I know he won’t be making his shopping list public,’ Adams said.
‘I think Mr Madejski has already stated that he won’t be throwing money at them and he would have to throw an awful lot of money at it to get Gary McSheffrey.’
