On-loan Reading midfielder Lawson D’Ath has said, following the club’s promotion, he is likely to spend another season out on loan.

The 19-year old is currently out on loan at League One outfit Yeovil Town and has made a good impression down at Huish Park. However, D’Ath understand’s promotion for the Royals will mean less of a chance in the first-team for him and said that he looks forward to prospect of another season out loan, possibly with the Glovers.

D’Ath told This Is Somerset: ‘I would like to push for a spot but I will see what happens. I have got to see what happens in the summer but I would definitely like to come back here. We have got a good group of lads here that could go far next season. I can’t wait to get back to Reading but I would rather be playing football and it is good to get some more games under my belt.’

Yeovil boss Gary Johnson has expressed an interest in the promising midfielder, adding: ‘It would not be permanent because Reading like him a lot but I am sure if we needed a loan next year we could do it. He has got better as time has gone on and I think we will see the best of him in the last few games of the season. They do see Lawson as a future star for them in the Premier League.”

Lawson has played eleven games for the Glovers, operating mainly as a winger, despite his usual central midfield role. He extended his loan spell until the end of the season last week and scored his first goal in professional football as he scored in Yeovil’s win 3-2 over Colchester in February.
