The loan window has reopened for Premier League and Football League sides, meaning Simon Church could make a loan move away from the Madejski Stadium.

Despite being included in Brian McDermott’s 25-man Premier League squad, a loan move for the Welsh international isn’t out of the question. League One outfit Huddersfield are closing monitoring Church’s situation, but the Royals are not keen to let him go right away, having not signed a new deal and fellow striker Jason Roberts still a few weeks away from full fitness.

In terms of loan incomings to the Madejski Stadium, albeit unlikely, it is still a possibility. Royals boss McDermott could well replace Church if the academy graduate was to depart the Berkshire club, with target Jordan Ayew still seeking a move away from Marseille. Despite the French side wanting a permanent for the pacey forward, they could be tempted by the Royals with a loan move in the coming weeks.
