Glen Little successfully came through surgery on his Achilles injury last week, and this week returned to England.

He went to Sweden to have this surgery, which has left many people thinking that his season, and indeed Reading career are over. However, this is not the case for him yet and he is still targeting a return this season, as he told readingfc.co.uk, “It lasted about an hour and a half.

“The surgeon looked at it and said straight away it is probably one of the best he has seen. There was no swelling, it looks knitted together really well.”

He will be out for anywhere between four and six months, which could mean he might return around February time, the time he is targeting, “They said it will take around four to six months,” Glen Little also told readingfc.co.uk.

“I would love to be back with maybe 10 games of the season to go.”

Good luck to him, and if he can come back before the end of the season this would be very good news for him, not to mention Reading. He will probably have to play some part this season thought to have a chance of getting his contract renewed, which runs out in the summer.

I hope he can come back before the season is out, if he can as I said before writing him off too early, as some had, was a bad thing.
