Little Is A Big Doubt

Glen Little is facing a race against time to be ready for the Royals’ game against Preston North End because of a groin injury.

The odds are not in his favour though, he missed the defeat at Luton on Friday night because of the injury and he shows little improvement at the moment.

John Oster is on standby and will continue on the right should Little not make it.

Reading Physio Jon Fearn told the Evening Post: ?Glen Little is still struggling with his groin. He has a problem with one of the muscles in the groin and is probably going to be doubtful for the weekend.

?It has been a cumulative thing. It started the week before last after a training session, and has been getting worse. It’s now too sore for him to play. He can just about jog at the moment.?

Steve Coppell popped his head back round the press-room door last night to ask for the code to open the exit door. The Reading manager may not know his way out of Bramall Lane, but he has the key to the Barclays Premiership after this result.
