The Royals have confirmed that Mikele Leigertwood has extended his loan deal at the club until the end of the season, to include any play off matches.
He joined the club in November and we are unbeaten with him in the side, our only defeat in that time a 1-0 reverse at Swansea when he was injured. His partnership with Jem Karacan has been the driving force behind a good run of results and it is a great move to get him here for the rest of the season at least.
Brian McDermott was delighted to have secured his servces and told the Official Site,
‘I’m delighted, Mikele has been a really good addition to our squad.’
Leigertwood himself was pleased to have secured his immediate future,
‘I’m really enjoying my time here and it was only right to stay for longer.’
