Reading midfielder Mikele Leigertwood has said that the Royals are not scared of Sunday’s opponents QPR and are looking for a positive result from the game.

The 29-year old was in the Reading side that lost to Arsenal on Tuesday night and wants the game against Rangers to be where they ‘bounce back’. Leigertwood moved to the Madejski Stadium on a permanent deal from QPR back in 2011 and has been a regular in the team since then and the midfielder is confident the Royals can get a result from the game.

Speaking to the London Evening Standard, the former QPR player said: “Arsenal are a good side and if we don`t do the stuff that we`re good at, then we`ll get punished ? unfortunately that was the case in the second half. The QPR match will be a test but we`ve shown time and time again that we can bounce back.’

This will be the first time that Leigertwood has played against his former side since making his move in 2010. He added: ‘There`s no reason why we can`t go and get a positive result on Sunday. They`ve spent a lot of money over the summer but things aren`t clicking for them. But we`re not worried about them ? we focus on ourselves.’
